I just wanted to go over a question that we get asked a lot
which is, “Where do you start the buying process?” For buyers,
where should they begin? Where do they start? And the answer is,
you should start with financing.
You should start by getting prequalified with a bank or mortgage
company. We can help you with that if that’s something that
you’re not sure where to go and get prequalified.
Do this before you look for houses. The reason why is that once you are
prequalified, you’ll know what you can afford, because you don’t
want to start looking at houses and find out that you can’t afford it
or that the mortgage is going to be too high for what you want it to be.
You don’t want to fall in love with the house and not be able to put an
offer on it because you need a preapproval letter to put an offer.
